| Agility has been specialising in ERP systems
integration since 1995 and has a depth of knowledge in and around warehouse
efficiency, logistics and information management. Using iLink middleware,
Agility have expertise in optimising integration to J D Edwards, Geac System21,
BPCS and other ERP systems. |
| The
Challenge
|
Agility systems are a rapidly expanding
business and they required a partner that could supply them with short term
resource whilst seeking the appropriate candidate to strengthen their
development team.
The second part of the remit was to find a development partner that could bring
in expertise in new technology. This would allow Agility to continue existing
projects whilst insuring that they were not left behind when it came to
technological advances. Kevin McDaid, managing director, is always keen to
ensure that his company is at the forefront of technological advances, “Whilst I
realise that we have a very strong product suit, I also recognise that we must
explore every avenue in order to ensure the best value for our customers”.
Agility Systems went to tender with a brief outline of these requirements and
RFG Software was introduced at this stage. RFG Software took the opportunity to
demonstrate their knowledge of the key areas. With .Net a major requirement
Kevin McDaid felt that RFG were the right partner, “It was obvious from the
discussions that RFG Software had the skill required and the resource needed to
achieve our targets. They not only understood our goals, but they even
suggested other areas to investigate.”

| The Solution
|
After in depth discussions with Agility, RFG
Software supplied a Microsoft Certified Professional to assist in the
operations development process, during the recruitment drive.
Once the recruitment process was completed, RFG Software assisted with the
research and development of product extensions. These extensions included the
use of Agility products within previously untested areas such as web based
applications and B2B web services.
