Company Background

SIG Consulting is a leading independent ERP service provider specialising in the provision of end-to-end solutions for companies of all sizes. SIG’s teams of consultants and technicians have many years experience of implementing and supporting application packages, including those from System21, JDE, eBPCS, ORACLE and SAP.

The Challenge

SIG Consulting has a broad range of customers and they required occasional extra resource. The main issue was that the resource requirements were typically very short and could be for as little as 2 days per week. Jackie Christon, Operations Director for SIG, decided on a more radical approach to solving the resource problem. “It’s common knowledge that every organisation suffers natural peaks and troughs with resource requirements. The question was how best to solve it” SIG suffered a serious blow to resources when they were let down by a previous partner and they contacted RFG Software at this point. The Solution

After in depth discussions with SIG, RFG Software began supplying occasional developer resource when needed. As the working relationship progressed RFG supplied further more regular resource to SIG. Jackie Christon believes this service has enabled SIG to exactly manage the resource peaks, “It’s perfect; when you’re working with RFG Software, you know that quality additional resource is just a phone call away. We no longer have to be concerned with covering staff holidays or even staff sickness”
